DIY Lavender bath salts

Salt baths are great for much more than just relaxation. This recipe provides soothing magnesium to relax tense muscles and lavender reduce skin irritation and calm the mind. After experimenting with a few different ratios I've finally perfected my daily beauty bath recipe - try this easy DIY for yourself and let me know what you think:

Ingredients

  • 4 cups epsom salts
  • 2 cups magnesium bath flakes
  • 20 drops lavender essential oil
  • 1 cup baking soda (baking soda neutralizes the pH of your soak and relieves skin irritation)
  • 1 cup melted coconut oil
  • 4 tbs dried lavender

Instructions

Mix all the ingredients well in a large bowel and transfer mixture to a large glass container (this works perfectly). Use 1 cup of salts in a hot bath as needed to relieve sore muscles.
